This holiday season has been the season of The Babadook. The film has been getting near unanimous acclaim and has even earned legendary director William Friedkin’s (The Exorcist) seal of approval. Today, IFC Films shared an animated Christmas greeting from The Babadook. We have a look at the creepy card for you in the player below.
The Babadook finds a single mother – who lost her husband in a tragic accident – dealing with a troubled child that is convinced a monster called The Babadook is responsible for his bad behavior. The young mother starts to question her own sanity when she begins to believe that The Babadook may actually be more than a figment of her child’s imagination.
The Babadook is directed by Jennifer Kent and stars Essie Davis and Daniel Henshall. It is currently available on VOD and in select theaters.
