Amityville House Sells To New Family

The infamous house at 112 Ocean Avenue, which inspired the events of The Amityville Horror, has been sold to a new family.

The property was on the market for a while, but according to The Wrap, it was sold recently for a not-unreasonable price of $850,000.

The house inspired the events of the 1977 novel, which was adapted in 1979 into a movie of the same name that is widely considered one of the all-time horror classics.

The so-called Amityville house was the site of some real-life horrific murders in 1974, when Ronnie DeFeo Jr killed all six of his family members there.

It definitely has a certain…character.
