We previously announced that Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures had officially set a release date for their holiday-themed horror film Krampus. We told you that it would be arriving in theaters just in time for Christmas 2015, with a release date slated for December 4th of that year. The upcoming feature is helmed by cult icon director Michael Dougherty (who directed the modern Halloween classic Trick ‘r Treat) and co-written by Todd Casey, Zach Shields, and Dougherty. Jon Jashni, Thomas Tull, and Alex Garcia will serve as producers on the upcoming project.

We now have two casting announcements to share with you. The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Allison Tolman of FX’s Fargo and child actor Emjay Anthony are both currently in negotiations to join the cast of the holiday themed hour comedy.

The only plot details that have been released at this point describe the upcoming film as a feature about the pagan demon that kidnaps naughty children and provides them with whatever punishment it deems fit at Christmas Time.

This was an instance where we saw a release date announced for the film before a core cast had even been announced but we now have a bit more information on that front and will continue to keep you in the loop as updates roll in on this titles.
