Fear The Walking Dead’s Cliff Curtis Joins Upcoming Meg Adaptation

Meg‘s ranks just keep on swelling, with the most recent round of casting news attaching actress Li Bingbing to the lead role, while English hard-man Jason Statham has also climbed aboard alongside Ruby Rose and Rainn Wilson.

And now, it seems the flick will be given some serious horror cred as Deadline confirmed Fear The Walking Dead‘s Cliff Curtis has signed up to appear in the movie.

Reportedly, Curtis will be playing the Operations Chief aboard the Mana One.

Here’s what we know about the project so far: At one point, Eli Roth was attached to helm the movie, but as we previously reported, National Treasure director Jon Turteltaub has been announced as Roth’s replacement.

Turteltaub is set to direct from a script penned by Belle Avery and Dean Georgaris. Steve Alten’s novel tells the story of two men that band together to face a Megalodon, a creature thought to be long extinct, that surfaces in modern day and wreaks unspeakable havoc everywhere it goes.

Warner Brothers has now set a release date of March 2, 2018. So, after decades of attempting to get this feature before cameras, it is finally going to happen.

Stay tuned to the site in the coming months for more on this upcoming project as details roll in!
