Here’s Your First Look at Jason Statham and Li Bingbing in MEG!

MEG - Oceanic Horror - Steve Alten - Nightstalkers

A feature film adaptation of MEG has been on the verge of happening since the ’90s. Well, things are finally moving full-steam ahead and cameras have even begun rolling. Today we have a set photo featuring the film’s leads to share with you. Check it out for yourself after the break! The newly released image features Li Bingbing alongside costar Jason Statham.

Here’s what we know about the project so far: At one point, Eli Roth was attached to helm the project, but as we previously reported, National Treasure director Jon Turteltaub has been announced as Roth’s replacement.

Turteltaub is set to direct from a script penned by Belle Avery and Dean Georgaris. Steve Alten’s novel tells the story of two men that band together to face a Megalodon, a creature thought to be long extinct, that surfaces in modern day and wreaks unspeakable havoc everywhere it goes.

Warner Brothers has now set a release date of March 2, 2018. So, after decades of attempting to get this feature before cameras, it is finally going to happen. Stay tuned to the site in the coming months for more on this upcoming project and the latest in horror news as details are announced!
