Jennifer Tilly Updates Fans on Cult of Chucky!

Cult of Chucky - Chucky 7

Jennifer Tilly made an appearance on New York Live and offered a couple of words on the the latest installment in the Child’s Play franchise, Cult of Chucky. Her response was fairly coy and didn’t really reveal much about the film itself. But it’s still nice to see that she’s enthusiastic about playing Tiffany after all these years.

“I think it’s going to really surprise and excite the Chucky fans.” Tilly said. “I am there, in the living, breathing flesh.” You can check out the entire interview for yourself in the player below.

The project is now in post-production, according to IMDb. Cameras began rolling a couple months ago in Winnipeg.

The official synopsis reads: “Nica Pierce (Fiona Dourif) is erroneously convinced that she, not Chucky, murdered her entire family. But when her psychiatrist introduces a new therapeutic “tool” to facilitate his patients’ group sessions — an all-too-familiar “Good Guy” doll with an innocently smiling face — a string of grisly deaths begins to plague the asylum, and Nica starts to wonder if maybe she isn’t crazy after all. Andy Barclay (Alex Vincent), Chucky’s now-grown-up nemesis from the original Child’s Play, races to Nica’s aid. But to save her he’ll have to get past Tiffany (Oscar®-nominee Jennifer Tilly), Chucky’s long-ago bride, who will do anything, no matter how deadly or depraved, to help her beloved devil doll.” Grace Lynn Kung (Cube 2 and TV’s The Strain) also stars.

Mancini is once again both writing and directing. In addition to the cast mentioned above, the director has also said that Summer H. Howell will be reprising her role from Curse of Chucky.
