Amid rumors that Marvel might be planning a new Blade feature film, Wesley Snipes has offered another update on exactly where he stands. Snipes recently sat down with The Huffington Post and when the conversation turned to the possibility of him reprising his role as Blade, he seemed to think there was a good chance of that happening.
“There’s always a possibility, you know. It’s in Marvel’s hands,” said Snipes. “They’re controlling the pace and the flow with that. Conversations have been good. They see the value in it. We see the value in it. I’m still in shape enough and fit enough to handle the role. We’ll see how it goes. I don’t really know what’s going to happen to it yet.”
As for whether or not he would be on board for appearing in an Avenger sequel, he offered the following: “That would be interesting. I mean, I know it’s in the comic book. It would be interesting to see where they would place him and where he really would fit in,” Snipes said. “He’s got to bite somebody. I don’t know who he’s going to bite.”
