Award-winning director Irene Taylor Brodsky’s film, Beware the Slenderman made its world premiere at SXSW last March and it has now been dated for a 2017 release on premium cable network HBO.The documentary will make its world television premiere January 23, 2017 on HBO. According to IndieWire, Brodsky was granted exclusive access to the families of both girls involved with the 2014 stabbing of their classmate.
The Slenderman is perhaps more prominent than he’s ever been right now. Rumors have even circulated that he may feature in the new season of American Horror Story. The character has developed a storied history in the years since he first haunted the Internet. To say the least, he is easily the most well known Creepy Pasta on the Worldwide Web. He was even cited as the reason two young girls in Waukesha, Wisconsin stabbed one of their classmates 19 times. The young ladies’ only explanation for their tragic act of violence was that they did to please The Slenderman.
