Wicked Horror has just learned that Todd McFarlane is indeed still at work on his planned R-rated reboot of Spawn. He told the Geeking Out Podcast “The simple answer is yes,” he said in regards to whether or not a new Spawn film was in the works. “It’s not going to be a continuation. It’s not going to be a sequel. Scrub the first movie… It’s going to be a dark, R-rated, scary, badass sort of script. It’s not a nice, polite PG-13…”
There’s still no definitive word on when the film will be heading into production or a targeted release date. But we will keep you in the loop as we learn more.
