Fans of the successful and strange anthology feature The Theatre Bizarre will be pleased to hear of the crème de la crème directors for its sequel, Theatre Bizarre 2: Grand Guignol.
Although no plot details have surfaced as of yet, the exciting band of directors already make for a highly anticipated movie. The entirely French directed sequel features some of the country’s best talents, including Xavier Gens (The ABC’s of Death-XXL, Frontiers), Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo (Inside, Livid), Olivier Abbou (Territories), Lucile Hadzihalilovic (Enter the Void) and Pascal Laugier (Martyrs).
Get ready for another serving of more over-the-top, brutal visionary and boundary pushing tales of terror.
For those who don’t know, the Grand Guignol was a theatre in the Pigalle area of Paris which specialized in naturalistic horror shows. Le Théâtre du Grand-Guignol, “The Theater of the Big Puppet” – known as the Grand Guignol opened in 1897 until its closing in 1962.
I think Theatre Bizarre 2: Grand Guignol has the potential to be awesome and I’ll be looking forward to its release!
